Loss & grief: when it doesn’t feel ok to feel ok

Grief can be an intensely painful experience that is emotionally, physically and mentally gruelling, so why would anyone not want to feel ok again? However, the experience of finding oneself feeling alright, even if it is just every now and then, can for some feel uncomfortable or even distressing. The reasons people give for this are many and varied, so I will name just a few. Some see it as a sign we are moving on. People may view this as healthy, but if moving on feels like moving away from those who have died, this can be a difficult experience, stirring up even more feelings of loss.
