I believe that having the time to explore our troubles in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment can have a really positive impact on our lives. This is why I have chosen to become a counsellor, after ten years in business and a further ten years as a teacher.
I aim to build a trusting relationship with each of my clients and will treat you with care, respect and honesty, whoever you are, whatever your background and whatever your troubles. Each client’s experience is different and I have worked with people with a variety of different troubles, including sexual, physical and emotional abuse, experience of coercive control, difficult family or relationship experience, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety.
The counselling approach I take is person-centred. Only you can experience your life the way you experience it and therefore I will not judge or evaluate you or offer you advice. Instead, I hope to facilitate your exploration of what it is that is troubling you, so that you can feel more comfortable with yourself and your life and can decide for yourself, what is best for you.
