Studies have shown that mindfulness can help with anxiety, stress and depression. It can help us have a more positive relationship with the world around us. It can also help us understand ourselves better. Thoughts and feelings about what has happened, what is happening, or what might happen can consume us. Mindfulness can help us to stand back and notice these thoughts and their patterns. This can allow us to choose a response which is helpful to us, rather than automatically responding in less helpful ways.
