Hi, I’m Kathy and I’d like to welcome you to Dragonfly Counselling.
People seek counselling for all sorts of different reasons. Maybe you are feeling anxious or depressed or are suffering from low self-worth. Perhaps you have been affected by painful life experiences, or maybe you are uncertain about why you feel the way you do. Whatever your reason, deciding to start therapy can be an important first step towards addressing your troubles.
However, finding a counsellor and beginning therapy can be daunting and it is important that you are happy with your counsellor and their therapeutic approach. Whoever you are, whatever issues you bring to counselling, you will be treated with respect and without judgement. As a counsellor, I do not offer advice or tell you what to do. Instead, I offer you the space to explore your troubles in a comfortable, supportive and empathic environment. This can enable you to gain a better understanding of yourself and the issues troubling you, and may help you to find a way forward that is right for you or to feel more settled within yourself.
